Got it. Scrolling is so annoying))but there is a delay, ring modulation and decimation, now trying to understand where to use it)
All of these sound really good.
Bought it too.
Got it. Absolute bargain (0.99). Goes great on the drums for a bit of grit. Nice.
Very good. I’m impressed.
How is this guy running a public beta when he is continuing to bait beta testers and customers for giving feedback?
Admittedly his latest bout of arrogant sarcasm towards users is pretty witty.
This dev has serious issues with taking criticism. I don't care if they sound good, I have plenty of plugins that sound good. I can't fathom giving this wanker my money. I have one of his apps and the UI isn't just bad, it's an absolute nightmare to the degree that it isn't usable. I'll take a forever pass on his work.
What’s UIX?
He isn’t making them sound good. That’s Apple audio routines built into iOS. He’s just wrapping them in AUv3 shells with the GUIs that everyone is complaining about.
So your saying all of the WU’s sound really nice? I want to pull the trigger on a few but wasn’t sure which ones... and they just keep coming so I don’t know if I should wait for another one or which ones people are really digging the most?
You can audition the fx in Garageband or Twisted Wave, it’s the same code.
Probably I'm the weird one, but I think this is good news. I guess it doesn't sell well atm, so he is engaging with his user base the way he can. Up until now he basically ignored user input. Now even though he says he's ignoring us, he's actually addressing the biggest issue users have with his plugins. Kinda like the various stages of grief... he's still in denial, but it's clearly in his mind.
I not sure though what should be our next move to encourage him
edit:
*addressing = giving it a thought
Also in Zenbeats
Huh. I have all those. Ok thanks.
Huh. That may have been me. The controls in both SPECTRO apps are so tiny as to be unusable. I tried to communicate this but very friendly and gingerly.
hes kinda funny tbh, we can watch as he gets full mad soon (rage, rantings in appstore etc)
I think it means 'user interface experience', ie the user experience when using an interface.
Bless you
I agree, of course. He did use the phrase "constructive criticisms" and then posted this today.
Well...I don't think it's fair for Mr. JG to be bitter. If you're beta testing an app and providing feedback, you need to be able to trust the developer to be respectful. I don't think we've reached that point yet. But he did respond with a requested "next move", and expressed a desire to refine his apps over time, or at least the betas.
Open betas are probably a good business decision, even if some people "take advantage" of a free trial. Beta testers who send emails though, are investing in the future of an app, and they want to be appreciated. Nobody wants to provide feedback out of fear that the developer might remove the beta. Fear shouldn't be part of the equation.
