audio recordings in AUM

I'm doing something wrong here. When I record, then load file player and look for my recording, all I find are rescue files

  • Is the file appearing in ‘AUM Recordings’ when you look in AudioShare?

  • I notice they are in raw format as opposed to wav - is this by your choice?

  • I was mystified by the format. I thought they automatically saved as WAV files

I have never seen that. Is it always like that for you?

    What OS version?

    Do you have AudioShare?

  • well, I just set up another session with a different instrument (Audiokit D1 versus Bismarck 16i) and it recorded a WAV file just fine. I need to do some investigating and I'll get back later.

  • I just got an error while recording, and at first it looked like the file didn't save at all. But then, a minute or two after I had closed AUM, a file titled "rescue CHAN 1 20210122 102200" appeared in my AUM Recordings folder.

  • I’ve only noticed rescue files in the past if I were attempting to record for longer then I had available space for. If you’ve got plenty of storage available, never mind me.
