Awesome! Enjoy! I love the Sangre de Cristos. Hopefully I can do another camping trip in Red River in 2021.
Me too
Never set foot in the state, but it seems like an amazing place.
I rewatched ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’ a few months ago, which is mostly set in NM - it looks like an amazing place in the movie.
State motto of New Mexico:
The Land of Enchantment
It’s true...
Which bit? I live in one of the bluish bits (Columbia). I Really want to move back to Europe, but my wife (sorta) likes it here.
New Mexico sounds nice. My wife has a friend who lives in Montana who posts the most incredible photos online. Downside is that he can go weeks without seeing anyone other than his family, and their nearest neighbors are some ludicrous distance away.
I live north of Rock Hill about 5 miles from the NC state line. My address is a York, SC address, but I live a long way from the small downtown.
Pretty sure it’s not very blue here based on my neighbors...
I moved from Europe too (UK) 20 years ago, but no plans to go back to live there (unless it is to a country other than the UK).
Yeah I know Rock Hill. Used to have a client there. Definitely not blue.
I moved from UK 8 years ago. Not a chance in hell I'd move back now. But I have an Irish passport fortunately so I have other options.
This is just outside of Questa.
Here's one from outside Red River.
I could have applied for an Irish passport, but got a UK one instead, but I regret that choice now. It’s OK though as I have my US passport, but both the US and the UK are making it hard for other countries to respect them...
But detour aside, those photos look awesome!
Definitely reminds me of scenes from ‘The Man Who Fell to Earth’
One thing about Questa is the traffic can be absolute bull shit.
I might have missed it but do you live in the area?
Nope, I'm up in Colorado. My parents and brother still live in Texas, though, and that general area is a great halfway meeting area for us to do camping trips.
You know, apart from a few Irish and Scots etc, the odd Taff, we're all Englishmen here, far from home and lonely.
Well I was born in England, but could have applied for an Irish passport because of my father. Moved to Australia for a while, then ended up in the US where I’ve lived for 20 years.
