Drambo not showing as a midi FX within cubasis 3? does show with zenbeats

Hello!

I am running 13.6.1 with cubasis 3.1.3

Drambo does not show up within cubasis as a midi fx auv3 option.... only as an audio/instrument auv3

Drambo midi fx DOES show up in zenbeats on the same system....

Any idea how I can fix this so that Drambo is available as a midi fx within cubasis?

  • @annahahn I think this has to do with how Drambo declares its own "plugin type"; it doesn't show up in NS2 as a MIDI FX either. Maybe you can add your request here?

  • @NoiseFloored

Thank you for this. I just emailed the dev as even after registration is wouldn't let me comment on your post. Having the flexibility of drambo within a DAW like nano or cubasis would be so so powerful~ fingers Xd it can be fixed soon!

Seems you misstyped your email in feedback form, so I couldn't answer.

So.. Drambo is registered as AUMF (AudioUnit music effect) that handles both MIDI and AUDIO, its the most universal format here.

Seems these DAWs don't support that.. (I think they expect AUMI - AudioUnit MIDI processor).

Im gonna think about this.. In the meanwhile, lets ask Steinberg about AUMF support

  • @giku_beepstreet thanks for the update, I'm gonna ask in the NS forum about it too

  • It’s always puzzled me that Drambo and Rozeta appear in the same list in AUM but Rozeta appears as a midi fx in NS2 and CB3 but Drambo doesn’t.

Drambo does not appear as a MIDI effect in AB3 either, though Drambo MFx appears in the MIDI output list (along with all the other synths). It does appear, as a MIDI AU, in AUM. So you might want to contact @Michael as well.

  • Ok, just had to check something.. AUMI will be added soon.

  • @giku_beepstreet thank you so so much for this

I adore Cubasis but they have a looooong line of feature requests and based on previous timelines I feel like if we put in this request today we would be very lucky to see it answered by January

From the Drambo perspective, is there an easy way to make an update that just changes the type of header the plugin is classified as to enable it to be recognized within the current Cubasis architecture? Seems like nano may also be slow to catch up here and this could provide an interim comparability solution

  • I have 2 free beta slots... anybody here willing to test MIDI plugs in cubasis? :)

PS: It works as a MIDI FX in Nanostudio 2 too!
I might dive into some MIDI processing wizardry soon... 😎
