Audiolayer help please, setting up drum instrument
Thanks in advance for your help. I am getting the hang of this but five hours ago I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
I am importing some EXS files. Almost everything is coming in properly except high hats. I have to make some adjustments. Some sounds inexplicably are four or five times louder than other sounds.
The sounds that were set up in the original file seem to be pretty low considering how high my interface is volume wise. The files that I am importing to Are way way louder and I have no idea why. Anybody have any ideas?

EXS (like SFZ) has many many settings that might effect the volume mapping of samples in an instruments. As EXS is not a public format, VirSyn (and anyone that imports EXS files) has reverse-engineered some of the format -- but AudioLayer's conversion is not complete. So, you sometimes have to do some tweaking.
You can send the EXS to Harry (@Virsyn) and describe the issue so that he can look at it for future versions.
