App to sequence AUM & AUv3 functions on a timeline?
Does such a thing exist?
I'm imagining playing songs live with some looping, and there's a timeline running that will mute/unmute AUM channels, maybe switch AU presets etc.
It's probably too much to ask for it to select and control loops in Group the Loop as well.
But is there anything that can work over multiple channels in AUM like this, with a song length timeline, not like 64 bars?

Xequence 2.
@BroCoast thanks, checking out the vids.
Xequence 2 is the best option. Although, because AUM does not slave to other apps is very difficult to use audio with that setup. Works great with MIDI though. If you need audio channels as well, NanoStudio with 4pockets multitrack as auV3 is the best combination.
I was hoping it may be able to sequence some Group the Loop commands, hosted in AUM. GTL is pretty crucial to what I want to do. Or maybe some other looper, but GTL is the one that works best with song structures. Are you saying that Xequence wouldn't play well with that?
Though, even if it didn't work, Xequence still looks worth getting for the other things it does.
I do not own GTL but if it is controllable by CCs you could totally do that in X2.
@SimonSomeone I don’t know the app but Xequence can handle easily anything that is controlled/played by MIDI.
I’ve played with the AUM Xequence combo it works and is potent. Does anyone have ideas for workflow streamlining though?
It seems sort of harder than it needs be to get to mastering audio tracks.
For instance: Right now I’ve been recording midi performances from AUM into Xequence for arranging then routing the recorded midi back into AUM for instrument playback while recording it into Cubasis for final audio arrangement and processing.
Is this overkill? Any other ideas?
I wanted this solution too. The AUM Xequence combo is a good one. But, for the last 5months in COVID lockdown I've been working on a series of 5 Mozaic scripts that function as a modular sequencing and composition system specifically for use in AUM.

Still not sure if it is a solution for me or just a crazy idea that consumed me during lockdown....
@soundtemple 👍🏼 Sounds intersting and a cool project
@_ki using your Mozaic language support in textastic which has been great.... thankyou soooo much for that.
Sounds fascinating and quite daunting!
Just create bus tracks that process all the audio. Have a final bus track that has all the other tracks routed to it with your mastering chain. It's actuality quite simple.
So for example, you have 7 instruments tracks, each with their own effects. In the output at the bottom, change it from your audio output to a bus track for each. Then you will only hear the mastered tracks.
When you go to record, you can record all the instrument tracks as stems and the master track as the song.
So here is a track I completed recently and my setup.

I generally get things started using Atom to drum up ideas, and once I have some things working, I add fx to each track and master the mix. Then I export atom sequences to Xequence 2 for arrangement.
@Lil_Stu07 that's a slick looking setup, thanks for posting the vid. I haven't purchased Xequence yet but it looks like it's going to be able to do the things I want... hopefully!
No problem. TheAudioDabbler on YouTube has some awesome tutorials on it. Good luck mate!
Yeh I've been watching his Xequence vids. Very informative!
