Streaming audio between 2 iDevices without hardware
I have an iPad air2 and one air3 and a lot of apps. I use my iPhone 7 to sync the 2 iPad with ableton link.
I use AUM inside Audiobus 3 for the preset recall for IAA and MIDI send. It work very well :ok_hand:
But without any other hardware how can I stream live sound between my 2 I device?
Im hospitalized for 2 month and I can’t use my Iconnectivity Audio4+
Example: I want to use MiRack on my Air2 and sending live the sound to AUM or AB3 to my Air3.
Thx

There's an app called Audreio that can stream audio between idevices.
I tried it over a year ago and it worked but with quite a bit of latency.
It seems that they updated it a few months ago.
Here's the link.

A combo of
Sidecar

And
Apollo Sound Injector

What is the audio latency like do you know?
I’ve got an old phone with iOS 9.2. So I could use Audreio to play the old Alchemy app or sing into the old Improvox 32 bit app into my old phone and shoot it over into my iPad the runs iOS 14 right? Or GarageBand instruments into CB3?
Latency won’t matter to me because I can just scoot the imported track into place with whatever I’ve done on the iPad.
I think it can do this though I haven’t tried it with
either GarageBand or CB3 which I don’t have.
I have tried it with AUM using inter app audio.
It works when using a strong WiFi connection albeit with latency.
Really curious to hear what the best solution for this. Generally speaking, advanced audio routing in iOS is still absent.
No more so than between desktop systems, or even hardware, if you think about it.
Unfortunately I do not. I never tried it, I might give it a go with Sidecar mini, the iPhone version, that’s no longer on App Store, since I do not have Sidecar and see what happens. If I get a chance I will try get a test in and report back
