when soundfonts make strange sounds
Does anyone else ever have unpredictable "altered" soundfonts sounds when playing their midi keyboard. I use the C5 Grand soundfont downloaded through Soundfonts4u (some great stoff on the site). To me it's the truest acoustic piano sound I can find for iPad.
Things usually work fine, but sometimes weird things happen for no apparent reason. For example, this morning about 1/2 way through our Praise Team practice at church, the soundfont file sample took on a distinct vibrato. Nothing changed in my settings. The only way I was able to get rid of the vibrato was to reload the sample. I've run the soundfonts in both Bs-16i and NuRack. Doesn't seem to make a difference.
Anyone else come across odd behavior like this?
ok, it just occurred to me that I might have had the mod wheel slightlty rotated forward, but I don't think so....
