Ah awesome thanks. I've got a couple of piezos lying around I might experiment with when I have the time. Been a while since I bashed on pots and pans!
@thatsRayor you should. I built another proto yesterday with a nice hardwood bowl which originally didn't trigger well due to wood being too thick. I tried a piezo with larger diameter and it works like a dream. I somehow didn't think that larger piezo would be more sensitive.
