Pleasantly surprised to see this updated to import samples as well as AUv3 functionality!

  • AutoPad has some great internal sounds so glad it’s a au now.

  • Just bought great update.

  • Getting a few stuck notes with AutoPad using a midi controller.

  • The crossfade option on this is crazy maybe I didn’t have a stuck note the sustain is that long.

@mjcouche Thanks! I even didn't know I had this app. But it's wonderful, the simplicity is what it makes so strong.

  • What is the maximum length for user samples?

  • What it’s also on sale for $00.99

  • On sale for only 48 hours so act fast

    From the app manual:
"You can import files of any length into AutoPad, but due to real-time memory restrictions, if a file is longer than four minutes, AutoPad chooses a three-and-a-half minute subsection of that file to load into its sampler. A short crossfade is applied to eliminate clicks."

I've not had a lot of luck importing so far - no problems importing but when I select the pad I created the default pad sounds. If anyone has more success let me know!

  • @enkaytee Thanks for finding that answer I was curious about that too. That’s a pretty decent amount of time...

  • I plan on trying soon we will see what happens

  • @enkaytee I only used AutoPad in standalone, I imported, named, and saved two separate 30 second pad sounds and neither worked. Like you said it just played the default sound. I’m on iOS 13.7 that could be the issue but it shouldn’t be...

  • Imports are not working on my device.
    iPhone 6s
    iOS 14.0.1

Trying to import drum loops

  • So it seems to be an issue.

I’m curious with AUv3 and midi in will it only receive single midi notes or can it play midi chords. Cause you can only press 1 pad at at time, so...

  • Just tried in AUv3 as well and same thing. It does have some Internal parameters Exposed. But only default sound on my loaded samples.

  • Just found another minor issue, in AUv3 mode if you send Midi in and stop the host, auto pad just keeps playing on that last note. You Have to physically press the stop button in the app. Maybe it’s not sending “note off” messages.

Does anyone know the best way to contact the developer and let them know the issues we are experiencing?

We should all ask him to make his drum machine AuV3

  • Cool. Also just did a test AutoPad does play both single notes and Chords with midi in as an AUv3

I like it and I would definitely find a use with my own samples. It seems to be a bit hit and miss with user imports at the moment; many have not worked for me. Just a couple of user sample successes, but one of them doesn't loop, and the other stops after about 20 seconds or so?

Just got it, nice sounds for sequencing in AUM, yet to successfully import any of my own sounds, but for 99p I can live with that.

  • Hi all, thanks for sharing about the update! I'll look into the file import issues and try to get a bug fix out this week! If you can, get in touch with me on my support page (link shared above) so I can get more details about the issue.

  • same issue here with the samples, nada but she sounds nice

  • Is the set list supposed to auto advance? I assume that you’d be able to sequence a basic set of notes/chords but not sure from what I’m seeing...

  • I've discovered that a few of Hainbachs isolation loops seem to work pretty well - the longer ones anyway. It's nice to be able to change the pitch of these using a pad. Think they're still name your price on Bandcamp if anyone's interested.

  • Alright, so I found the problematic code! I'll be getting a fix out as soon as I can. Sometime in the next week. The problem appears to affect samples shorter than four minutes.
