Korg iWavestation - "How do I" the thread.

Hi all I thought I'd put this here as a repository for iWavestation answers just in case anyone else is new to this app. For some you veterans these questions may be easy answers. For us noobs you can end hours of frustration.
Noobs please do some work on your own to figure out the answer on your own before posting.
*Yes, please refer to the manual page if you can, for reference.

  • I'll start.

    Question:
I have a patch/performance. It has two sequence lanes. When I play the keyboard onscreen the keys only play back the sequence in the original pitch, instead of mapping chromatically across the keyboard. Why?

This happened to me recently when switching the voice mode to one of the Uni modes. The only fix I remember that worked was to load a different wave sequence.

Sounds like pitch ‘slope’ is set to 0. The randomize function does this often (especially when selecting ‘drum’ in the Random menu).
Set ‘slope’ to 1.00 for normal pitch across keys (page 39 manual)

  • @R_2 Yes I've checked that and many other knobs but it does seem to be a bug.

  • @rs2000 weird, could you reproduce it?

    Thanks @rs2000 and @R_2

I checked the Pitch Slope setting and it was set as your screenshot.

I did as R_2 suggested which worked, but then I lost the first (or more I can't recall) of my selected instruments (from the Ram card) in the sequence. hehe I'm really in deep weeds here but it's cool.

No worries. I had saved the sequence. So I can go back to it.

  • Ok, returning to this original issue. Anyone else have any thoughts?

I have started a new patch.
    1) load new oscillator. From Rom. Make sequence. It only plays up and down the keyboard in original sequence pitch.
    2) load another new oscillator from same Rom bank. This one play up and down the keyboard polyphonically.
    3) both osc from same rom bank, both with all of the same settings with the exception that they use different wave sequences as defined by me.

    I'm confused.
