Akai Force back in the ring? New v.3.0.5 firmware update looks very cool
So here am I humming and hawing over Maschine+ vs Akai Live as a possible near-future purchase for away-from-the -computer sofa noodling (always close to a power socket, so battery not required) when this drops:
Since I already have Ableton and analog hardware, and this now has very tight integration and als import/export with Ableton, and of course has cv outs, room for massive onboard hd expansion, and also acquires a proper arrangement mode and onboard sample editing too, and is out at around the £750 mark... Hmmm... Black Friday might be interesting this year.
Anyone with experience with the Force as-is got views on whether this is a sensible purchase at this point? I know it has been considered likely obsolete/not great, but I’m not too sure why?
