Solved: audiobus2 middle slot ( fx-slot) not functioning on ios7.04

hi all

i am on ios 7.04 ipad2
i tested this with starting audiobus first and also the other way around
turnado is in the effect slot

edit: like i said, tried loading filtatron in the middle slot now and the same thing happens: only the startup screen of the app is shown...

edit2: redownloaded the app but problem persisted

luckily I could get the old version back in the app store. please keep that option.
for now my experience is that updating to audiobus 2 is not functional on ios7.04

anyone can confirm?

    It works fine here, iPad Air iOS 7.1.

    Tested on iOS 7.04.
    Yes, Turnado isn't working properly.
    But every other app I tried (Holderness apps, AUFX, LiveFX, Birdstepper) works fine.
    So it is Sugar Bytes issue.

    Not trying to wise ass here but stating the obvious, why don't you update to 7.1? In my experience it's running much better than 7.04 did.

    yeah I can't imagine doing audio or anything without the jailbreak either. i like to have acces to my own tablet. my apps are all honest b.t.w.

    but i must say I expected some more reactions to this in my eyes big issue

    We've had this discussion before but there's just no way we can support jailbroken devices. If they work - fine. If they don't... they're jailbroken. Anything could be happening in the background on them and it's impossible for us to figure it out. Sorry, you're on your own with this.

    @Sebastian I can understand this, so no worries!
    But sometimes I've encountered developers that when hearing a device is jailbroken they respond "ah! that's the problem!", and then it turns out that the problem affects non-jb apps also...

    Anyway, thanks for this amazing update! And a personal thanks from my poor iPad 3 for the 1024 buffer setting :)

    For example, I just found that the specific problem with Turnado happens when I start AB2 with buffer set at 1024 and then putting Turnado in FX slot.

    When I set the buffer to 512, Turnado in FX slot works perfectly! So my humble opinion is that the problem is that Turnado seems not able to handle 1024 buffer size as an AB2 effect. Can anyone confirm this with a non jb device?

    @Crabman Yes, I'm still pretty sure it is a problem with Turnado, 1024 buffer on 7.04.
    This doesn't mean I blame them!

    It works normally whether I have the buffer set at 512 or at 1024.

    @Zymos Thanks!! Did you set to 1024 first thing when opening AB and then putting Turnado on effect slot?

    Yes both times I started fresh, set the buffer, added Turnado to the FX slot, opened it.
    Closed all apps, repeated.

    turnado works. it is best to select an output first is my experience.
    i have dm1 tru magalan and ielectribe tru turnado running all at once on ipad2 ios7.04. latency setting is 512. this runs very stabil and with all effects from both magelan and turnado turned on.

    happy with that. :)

    @teknoid cool! I've already contacted Sugar Bytes about the 1024 buffer crash on some devices, after I confirmed it happens on some non-jb iPad configurations as well!

    would be nice if turnado would run in 1024 for the old devices surely since it is my favorite effect at the moment
