Just reading what I can, it's only straight line in to the USB. On-board volume/mix is only for the on-board outputs. And the inputs are unbalanced 3.5 mm TRS stereo. So, ground loops are likely if you try to split the stereo input into two monos. They offer drivers for Windows systems, so likely only limited capability with iOS. Need more info to know exactly what.
It can send stereo audio to separate audio tracks in iOS. There’s a demo of using it with GarageBand on the website.
It’s pretty iOS friendly actually, even has its own app.

Unfortunately the app needs to be connected first so can't mess around
I found the manual and it's 12in 2 out usb interface.
I guess the different outputs are meant for direct monitoring which is cool , but have no idea how the usb mix is treated per output.
I’m a pretty big fan of mine. It is especially good for Volcas, Pocket Operators, other musical toys/gadgets that give you 1/8” stereo out, etc.
You can use it as a 12 in but you’ll need a bunch of splitters most likely, but it’s not 8 out. The 4 outputs you can mix to have their own mix of the inputs. This I think is done so you can jam with people and everyone can have their own mix. You need to use the app to do the output mixing though. You only get stereo out or L/R individual through USB out after it’s been processed by iPad. I was messing around with using one of the outputs as a makeshift effects send/return though I haven’t done enough tests to say it’s worth doing.
You can either select the inputs in a stereo pair or individual mono.
I guess usb mix is going to all outputs , @BiancaNeve ?
The stereo input can be treated as mono balanced on a DAW so noise problems...
I can't find it my country and have to pay 20E more for shipping from Thomann but it's time to replace my Behringer uca200 !
@DMan ,is the usb output available for all outputs?
The USB output is available for all outputs, in fact it does not appear you can turn it off. Each output gets the USB output of the digital device you have plugged in and then a mix of the 6 stereo channels that you can customize for each. If you are using mono instruments then they still get coupled for the input/output mix on one channel, of course in a DAW you can treat them individually though. These are live monitoring and it’s before anything has been done after plugging into your iPad, computer, whatever.
I don’t find the outputs overly helpful, but it would be extremely helpful if you were using it for it’s intended purpose.
Thanks @DMan
