Yonac Kauldron strange behaviour in Cubasis 3 and Zenbeats
I have an issue with Kauldron in Cubasis3 and in Zenbeats as well.
I set Kauldron as an AUv3 instrument on track 1, record the midi notes from my keyboard, then switch to track 2 (other instrument), hit record and start playing my keyboard, but the keyboard triggers not just track 2, but Kauldron on track 1 as well making a big mess.
Only Kauldron and Kaspar behave this way. I didn’t experience this issue with any other synths.
Any idea how to solve this?

Yonac AU apps can receive midi from outside the host, disable it in preferences, maybe that helps
@Korakios Thanks for the tip, I found it and works! However it seems this setting is being not saved... I need to disable HW midi input each time I start the host app

Tried to disable hw input in standalone mode as well, but does’t help either
Kauldron and Kaspar both have this problem.
Are you using Midi from an external source? I have found that if you take your external MIDI and reroute it so it appears to be coming from internal it will fix this problem.
These apps ignore the host configuration. It is really annoying. I emailed them once and I don’t think they care. I was really worried Galileo 2 would behave the same way, but fortunately it doesn’t.
If you can get something in the app to input the hardware MIDI in and reroute through a Virtual port in something like MIDI Fire, StreamByter will probably help as you can probably load it in the host file from the start. I’m sure there are other options the main idea is set up a Virtual port so it appears the MIDI is coming internally.
I guess a not 5 star review will get the attention

Will try emailing first
@DMan , yes, I use external keyboard. I’m afraid I’ll give up using kauldron as AU sooner than find a simple workaround
I've only got only Magellan 2 installed at the moment (The only one I felt was worth keeping)
It works without issues in Cubasis 3 and ZenBeats 2 (as an AUv3) on both my iPhone 8 and iPad Air 2, both running iOS/iPadOS14.0.1.
So the pretty obvious question is what iOS/iPadOS version and iDevice are we dealing with here?
Magellan is not affected , in the other AU synths you can’t permanently disable :

Gotcha!
Those settings (Midi In & Bluetooth Midi) should not even be in an AUV3 since the host is supposed to handle it.
Midi Learn is ok but the others should just be disabled by default and hidden...
I guess I saved myself a lot of trouble when doing the app cleanup a while ago
(Magellan 2 was the only Yonac app I kept on both the iPhone and iPad).

I've just send an email
This has been happening for at least the past couple years. I know for a fact my Air 2 and 2nd gen pro have had the issue iOS 11,12, and 13. I haven’t tried on 14 yet but I’m sure it’s happening there too. So, device and version do not matter.
It is a known issue with these apps and in fact when Galileo 2 came out I was concerned it would have the same issue, but it only affects Kaspar and Kauldron. The host cannot determine the MIDI routing for external midi. You just reroute it to internal and it works.
