Drambo fx question? how to input audio to multiple track
So I’m in AUM. i want to send audio into drambo, and have it routed to 3 separate tracks so that it can be processed? how do i do that?
Comments
If you mean multiple Drambo tracks, I don't think you can. You can use Layers, or Layers Mixer, to make it easier to manage the different FX processing chains in the single Main track.
sorry, i guess Aum doesn’t even really. I am trying to do it all in Drambo. maybe there is a way to setup sends in drambo to other drambo tracks?
I dont get what you trying to do.. TBH i would use Scatterbrain and split output to 4 channels with drambo inserted on each
Yeah, you can do that in two ways:
1. Place your effects on tracks A and B (set the effect mix to "wet" only like on a real mixing desk). In mixer view, you can adjust the A and B send levels for each track separately.
2. Route audio directly between tracks. The only limitation is that an audio input must be connected to an audio output that is on a previous track. Again, in mixer view you can do the necessary scrolling to find the audio source you want to connect to.
BTW, it would be a waste to use Scatterbrain, you can do all that inside Drambo.
Now that we have 1-to-N audio switchers, it has become even easier to do.
@rs2000 cool gonna try that 1 to N asap. Btw this is how I usually approach splitting stuff up, not better, just my way heh

cool. how do you add tracks. is there a button i’m missing g somewhere?
Yes 😋
If you want to place the new track to a different position then pull down the track module (tap on the header and drag it down) and move it to the left.

@noob
Here's an example project with four effects on separate tracks for your convenience.

@rs2000 nice, lemme fetch edit;
ah, so this is how we have Scatterbrain inside Drambo.. very nice, thnx for this. my DIY approach looks like shite now, useless hoops now this can be done in the same app
@noob All good, enjoy!
If you want some FX randomness, you can feed the Index input of the 1-N switch with a random LFO instead of the sequencer:
(make sure "Bipolar" is switched off)
@rs2000 This is a great patch, thanks for sharing it back in 2020. Just to help my Drambo education, what is the purpose of the Delay inbetween the sequencer and the 1-N switch? Is it there to add extra functionality and possibilities or is it essential for the setup to work?
Great to hear that you're enjoying it 😊
The delay is not mandatory,but it can help fixing rhythmic effects on loops with imperfect timing.
If percussive transients are a little early, before the next effect has been switched to, that might generate undesirable artifacts.
I would suggest to start wih zero delay, increase it slowly and listen for any potential improvements. If there isn't any, just keep it at zero.
Brilliant, thank you very much for explaining, really appreciate it. Cheers.
