OK, so that was... awesome. Super, super cool... this is EXACTLY the kind of stuff I'd like to be able to do, but wrapping my head around the various components and planning involved has been daunting. You really broke it down and made it seem straightforward though.
That MIDI texture box thing is the bees knees... I love it!
How much work was it to assign all the pads and knob routing? It seems like it would be a massive undertaking to reconfigure all that for a different setup or different apps than the ones you've chosen for this demo.
Well done!
Also the Novation Launch Controller looks pretty awesome for Loopy, I love how the lights stay toggled on when the loop is playing. That would really help me because I get confused about what's what, hahaa...
Thanks guys! It can be a bit confusing to set up all the configurations (plus I change stuff constantly). My girlfriend has even more midi mappings than I do.
@jesse_ohio, the Launch Control is great for loopy, but the lights will not work that way unless you use midibridge to connect launch control to itself. I have a user preset for launch control where all the buttons are toggles. Also, if you notice, I only use the launch control to start the loop, then quneo actually stops them. I have it set up this way because if I were to hit the same pad again on the launch control (which I actually do on that last loop) the led would turn off even though there is a loop on that pad.
Anywho, I can't believe how much fun I've had just today with audiobus 2. This thing is a beast. I just tested recording 9 different loops from loopy into 9 tracks of cubasis and it worked! The future is amazing.
Just great! Shared this via our social stuff channels!
"Took the day off work today... to play with Audiobus 2" :-)
You really should be more committed
...to your apps. Why not "rest of the week"? :-b
great demo and setup. thanks for posting.
Nice set up, I agree take the rest of the week off
Good stuff!
Impressive!
