Very good points! Best value by a long shot! Love the included instruments. Some of the very best soft synths avaiable...
Ive voted for Logic. The stock plugins and sounds are second to none. Even though i switched to ableton recently (it just more fun inmho) logic is solid
I’m never going to buy a Steinberg product again after Cubasis 3. I voted Logic.
I used Cubase on Windows for years, but was then blown away by Ableton Live and switched and never looked back.
I’ve used Logic pretty much for as long as I’ve owned MacBooks, and still use Logic or Live depending on which seems the most appropriate.
I don’t think I would ever go back to Cubase.
I just read a reviewer say that the Cubase chord audio to MIDI function/track assistant was far superior to Cubase as well as the plug ins and sound library
You have to pick one and learn it - any of the major DAWs is very capable, yes there are pros and cons to workflow especially between Live/Bitwig and “trad” DAWs but you could produce with any.
I voted for Logic, it's my choice, with the caveat that I really really wish they would beef up GarageBand on iOS and/or release Logic for iOS. Since getting in to Logic I've been starting projects in GB iOS and opening them in LPX to continue working them, and that's a great workflow, but GB is just so limited (no MIDI effects! no busses!).
That said, I wonder at the true utility of opening Cubasis projects in Cubase, given that the built-in instruments and effects in Cubase are (IMO) of rather limited use, so you probably have to bounce to audio tracks anyway, right? OTOH I suppose one might argue the same for GarageBand.
Logic for the simple reason that Steinberg are horrible to deal with, crap support, on and on
