Will Fabfilter ever release One and Twin 2 as standalone apps?

I love Fabfilter Twin 2 and Fabfilter One but unfortunately I can only use them with Auria Pro. They seem to be two of the few iOS synths that compete very well with desktop synths.

Auria Pro is a great app but the piano roll is not very friendly for making electronic music (IMO at least) and it tends to crash if a fly farts in its general direction, which seems to happen a lot. I know I can route it with other apps to avoid the piano roll altogether and just use the synths, but it still crashes a lot.

So will FF ever release these two great synths as standalone apps? They released their effects series but not the synths.

  • Write and ask them? Twin 2 is a hidden gem and it would certainly be a great addition to the iOS library.

I hope they will and I really could imagine at some point of time.

  • Good point. I'm surprised they didn't. I remember it running on fairly weak CPUs so it would have been a great candidate for iOS years ago.

Im waiting for Twin2 and Timeless, too 🙃
Maybe they have an exclusivity contract with WaveMachineLabs for theses products?

@trancespotter have you already contacted FF ?

No, got sidetracked on video games for the past few weeks but have gotten back into music this weekend, especially since I think I finally figured out how to use reverb to thicken my sounds and make them fully 3D instead of 2D 😁 I’ll contact them today

  • I'd love to see FabFilter One as an AUv3. It's simple and fast to tweak and sounds pretty sweet :)
(I've just used the demo on desktop and I like what I hear).

  • So I checked the FF forums and there are actually threads on dating back to 2017 to 2020 but the FF mods haven’t confirmed any One or Twin AUv3 versions yet 😕 The fact that they are active on the their forums is a good sign though.
