Anyone tried this app. Seems like it does something I would like to try. Would love to see a video of it in use.
Any other apps out there that do the same sort of thing?

Just a bump in case someone has used it. Really does interest me but don't want to buy it if it is crapolla.
It does look interesting, but not available in the UK store.
Must be soon. It's showing up in Australia which I thought was always last.
Hey, guys! I just added UK and Canada to my distribution. I will put a demo video on my site tomorrow, so you can see it in action. I am doing everything myself, so each piece takes time. Thanks for understanding and for your interest!
This early release 0.3.1 is fully functional, except that the Custom scale is just chromatic. Next release will allow you to create any scale.
I just posted this demo on my YouTube channel - check it out!
Thanks!
Dave.
Please get rid of or make the voice overs and sound effects option. They are really annoying.
Sure. I can add a setting. Thanks for the feedback!
Not sure what you are planning but I was hoping the app was a bit more random. Is it possible to have a random mode? Something like select the number of notes, and select a range like 4th to 8th fret?
I believe ear training is most effective when working out in 1 octave. Most strong melodies and guitar licks aren’t spread across the entire neck. That being said, I do have tons of ideas and user feedback is important to me. As this is an AudioBus discussion board, I would suggest sending an email to [email protected] about improvements or questions.
Thanks!
Dave.
That sounds fair.
I've found sometimes when an app drops it can be left with little support, particularly if it already achieves its well defined purpose. Thankfully that is not the case here. The developer has been very responsive and even gone so far as to make changes that have taken this from an app I could not use to an app I use daily. And I'm very appreciative of those changes because I am finding the exercises to be of great use as my ear is improving. Plus there is plenty of room to advance the challenge when I am ready.
In short, this app has changed significantly for me and anything I found problematic or "annoying" is gone. There are a couple of minor things I would add but it's not a complaint, just personal preference. So glad I discovered this way of ear training.
Same experience here, I’m having a great dialogue with him, he’s a really sweet guy and is working hard on this.
Thanks, guys. I can't thank you both enough for all of your valuable feedback and patience as I work to make the app as appealing and useful as I can.
Quick update! I have completed the "custom scale" functionality, so any one-octave scale shape can be created.
I just made a 2-minute "quick start" video to make first-time players more comfortable, without all the details.
Cheers!
Dave.
Changing the last video broke the old link. All videos can be found here:
