Is it possible/worth it to use BIAS Amps! with virtual guitar apps?
I'm not much of a guitar player, but I'd like to modify some of the virtual guitar (and ukulele) apps I have. I imagine it would be fun to explore running other instruments through.
But, I'm not really answering my own question... I guess the question is will I be able to shape guitar tones that sound like various popular tones using this app and Audiobus?

- Yes. It's pretty much like lining a regular guitar through the app.100.00%

It is possible, and pretty darn cool. Voice ran through it is cool as well. Should you buy it, that is entirely up to you friend.
It depends on how much distortion you use. I've even tried synths through Bias. And some synth presets sound a lot like guitar (if you use the heavy metal presets in Bias).
If you want clean guitar, I don't think it wil sound very convincing.
Hey, everyone, thanks so much for your input.
I bought it, and just playing around with it, it does exactly what I'd hoped!
If anyone else wants to enhance the tones of their guitar apps (or other apps, as Greg pointed out), I'm very happy.
Re: "clean" guitar - agreed, but the sound may not be "convincing" but it could work artistically in some situations.
I like recording my guitar into Loopy or AudioShare, for example, than running that through Bias and effects/amp modellers. That allows me to dial the software in without juggling that with playing.
That is a good way to go about it, agreed.
Decided I'm going to buy this today while it's half off. Just wanted to add an AppStore link so I can buy it from here and give the AB guys a cut.

Wow, this sounds so much better than JamUp to me so far. Good call on the vocals through Bias @WMWM, will have to try that too.
It has an acoustic amp. Anyone tried a nylon string guitar through it?
