Long buffer (4 minute) audio file player/ sampler WITH TRANSPORT SYNC auv3?
Hello!
I am trying to perfect my AUM + Xequence setup and am wondering if there are any audio file playback auv3s / samplers that support host transport sync, meaning if I jump to the 62nd bar in Xequence and press play, the file playback device would jump to the 62nd bar of the file in AUM
I know many users complain that 4pockets multitrack is incapable of this~ are there any other tools that are well suited for something like this?

The problem isn't with MultiTrack ... it's with AUM.
I'm afraid your search for an AU to do that in AUM is doomed from the start.
AUM doesn't follow Song Position Pointer (SPP), so there's no way for Xeqence to pass SPP through to Multitrack Recorder or any other AU plugin. It just ain't gonna work. You would need to use a standalone version of something that does ... and TBH, I don't know of anything that does anyway. Well, maybe MultiTrack standalone, but I haven't tried that from Xequence. Anyway, you aren't looking for standalone and don't get along well with MultiTrack, so that's a moot point.
Sorry. This is the biggest sticking point for any DAW-less setup. It has been forever. People have tried to talk @j_liljedahl into supporting SPP, have tried to encourage @SevenSystems to add basic audio file support into Xequence, and reached out to other developers as well. So far no joy.
Did you see my reply in your other thread?
I can upload a video if you like to show you how to make it work.
@BroCoast yes I did thank you, but what is the alternative to using the x2 transport?
Yes please would love to see a video of your method thank you!
Using the AUM transport, but sorry I didn't realise you want to start from specific parts (62nd bar.)
@wim is right, without SPP in AUM there is no way of achieving this.
You can sync the file player and Xequence from the starting point only.
