AuV3 keyboard alternatives?

edited October 2020 in General App Discussion

Please recommend your favorite AuV3 keyboards for midi to sequencers etc.

Looking for something like the keyboard in Ampify Groovebox to use in AUM for midi.

  • Xequence Keys?

  • Sequence keys comes as an AU, too, which is great. The keyboard by Kai Areas is good, too, and there are tons of chord ing apps - Tonality, ChordX, ChordPolyPad. Quite a few more good options. As a non-keyboard player, I take advantage of them!

  • Tonality for chords and guitar type playing. Velocity for bass, lead and pretty much everything else. KB1 for a traditional keyboard layout. Honourable mentions - Geoshred, Xequence AU, MIDI Strummer but the above are my go to choices.

I really like Xequence AU Keys and AU Pads. KB-1 is good too, but I gravitate toward the Xequence apps. Xequence has this really nice feature where you can assign CC's to key gestures in different ways. KB-1 has MPE support, which Xequence Keys does not.

They're both great and all I've felt the need for, though I've heard a lot of good about Velocity Keyboard as well.

    Agreed.

Kinda like the Chorder too, iap from LK by imaginando.
The Xequence au is great too, I use the pads for various cc commands, like muting, solo, bypass effects in AUM. Also easy to customize pads, say play ruismaker, digisticks from 1 pad window. Hoping xequence will one day finish his controller surface.
