Any app that can convert motion to a midi note for HAUNTED HOUSE?
Hi, I am thinking about a way that I could use the camera on an old iPhone to detect motion and trigger a midi note or OSC (which I would send to my laptop and play sounds and video), for a haunted house.
Any ideas?
I'm sure I could accomplish this with some real motion sensors and arduinos but I'm trying to put something together quick and easy. Thanks!

Phonopaper? Well it's quick, free and requires no setting up. You'd have to point the camera at a blank canvas I think, haven't played with it for a while.
Ah the sending to laptop bit...
Maybe one of the theremin apps like
https://apps.apple.com/gb/app/theremin-i-o/id669456913
This might work. Midi mouth controller
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/midi-mouth-controller/id1447471921
Edit: this is iPhone only
You could use a 2nd Apple device, to press a button that triggers The music or sound on another device.
Midi camera can trigger photo and video, have a scary video playing....

Since you are using a laptop have you considered a kinetic device?
Certainly more complicated than your original request but opens lots of possibilities.

On iOS. Gestrument had an initial integration with Kinect. Not sure if kinetic pro continued this support.

It's not camera, but you could tape the iPhone to the door or something and use one of the accelerometer-enabled MIDI apps to generate the trigger. I've used https://apps.apple.com/us/app/midiflow/id879915554 before to get tilt/accelerometer data and convert to MIDI.
Maybe Holon.ist as well
