Korg Legacy collection- AUv3 int the future?
iM1, iWavestation, etc. What do you think the odds are of Korg adding AUv3 to these apps?
Comments
God I hope so.
When I start to write or just play synths for fun I reach for iMS-20 and ODYSSEi. What I end up using is just about anything else because 1) most significantly IAA is a PITA and 2) there’s some great AUv3 synths out there (the Moogs, Zeeon, DRC etc. )
I know it’s personal taste but those two have the sound and workflow I like and am used to.
Korg hasn’t been fast to update their software products in recent years, and they haven’t communicated timelines. I don’t really expect to see any news before it happens, but it will be great to see.
It looks to me like Korg is going the Auv3 route, first KEW, now Module. I don't see a reason why they would stop here.
I think we'll see more of the 'legacy apps' getting an AUv3 treatment.
One I'm particularly interested in is the MDE-X with all the Korg effects in one package closely followed by iM1 and iWaveStation, iMono/Poly, iPolySix, iMS-20, Odyssei and iElectribe.
For the iKaossilator I'd be happy with getting the Kaospad as an optional input method in Gadget
