Surface Pro 4 for noise making?

So I inherited a SP4. Wanted to ask my trusted peers if this thing is worth exploring?

Anybody have any experience with one?

Thanks mofos

Running Ableton on one. It runs pretty well. Molten Music has a whole video series on music on surface pro if you have nothing but time on your hands.

  • Cool, I’ll check it out. I want to check out a few noisemakers like these

  • It will run Serum, which in turn runs rings around every synth ever created for iOS, then again, most free synths on Windows run rings around most synths created on iOS too.

  • pendulate on macos👌

  • I use the SP3 for FL Studio, Bitwig, SunVox, MultitrackStudio- all good. Bitwig, SunVox and MTS, are very cool for touch along with trackpad. MTS on PC has its counterpart on iOS and projects ship between seamlessly.

  • Have you tried the plugins I posted above? Generate & Pendulate?

I haven’t, they do look like lots of fun.
Bitwig offers the tools to build similar creatures. Bitwig is an immense sound design playground, and it’s touch capability was originally built around the SP (the 3 at the time)

Worth looking at the tutorial resources, re the Grid modular synth, and modulation tools etc

    Modulators: https://www.bitwig.com/learnings/an-introduction-to-modulators-45/

The whole collection of tutorials https://www.bitwig.com/learn/?tag=Learn Bitwig Studio
