    Hi,
could you please confirm that the intro price is active in your countries?
Apple behavior is stranger than usual these days...
    Thank you,
    Andrea

Hi Andrea, it's 14.99€ on the Spanish app store today. Is this the amp you mentioned to me a while back that caters to the needs of not just the metal heads, or should I wait?

You should definitely wait for the next one. 🙂

Bufff I bought it before the price went up again. My god that was fast.... or it wasn't? Cause now I cannot see the price but the others ampsims seems to have returned to their original price.

Anyway I'm happy with my recto cali dual. Yesss.

Thanks for the heads up Andrea, is this the AC30 emulation being discussed on other threads, or what you told me about in the PM?

  • @And_Nembrini any idea if Nembrini is working on an IR loader for us iOs users? I heard it somewhere on this forum but I want to be sure and wait for that.

    Correct.

  • Just bought. Really impressed by the sound and the overall quality @And_Nembrini . As always thanks for you work and time here.

    Correct.

Hopefully , you are adding this in the amp sims themselves rather than as another plugin. I so wish that I could use the IR of my choice in each of your apps without using another precious plugin slot.

There are already plenty of IR loading plugins.

if you want the same quality, and if you want to use the amp in any sort of audio chain, and not just standalone, I'm afraid there is no alternative, atm.

Does this mean that the option for the AUv3 amp sims to use your own IR rather than one of the built-in ones is not something you will be adding? It would be hugely beneficial if you would consider letting users import their own IR into the sim (for as as AUv3).

  • I’m not a programmer, so I cannot be more accurate. The last time I talked to Igor about this, he told me so. I’ll let you know more ASAP.

Igor has just confirmed to me that the problem that, at the moment, prevents us from inserting an IR loader directly into the apps is due to the management of iOS resources.

The pre-loaded impulses in our amp simulations are special. They are not simple .wav files, but they have been specially optimized to give the best ratio between use of resources and audio quality.
Inserting a loader for simple, non-optimized, .wav files into the app would compromise the quality and this is not acceptable for us.

Everyone has their own tastes on impulses, but we believe that those inserted are of the highest quality.

The external loader we are working on, and which should be ready for the first months of next year, will have to have features that will make the use of normal IRs more appropriate to keep this resource / quality ratio unchanged.

If it is true that the new devices are more and more powerful and performing (even if this power is limited by some choices made by Apple in its management on iOS) we must guarantee a perfect use of our apps even for those who have older devices. As far as possible of course.
This is why our apps are backward compatible up to iOS 9!

I hope I have been comprehensive enough. Unfortunately English is not my mother tongue, and I may have misstated some concepts.

Thanks to everyone who uses and enjoys our apps, very appreciated. 🙏

    Cheers,
    Andrea

If the idea is to release a kind of Nembrini universe host app, where you can load a Nembrini amp and several Nembrini fx, and also load any outside IR wav. file, and have all this preset save-able and midi controllable, then this would be absolutely most welcome! This would be most convenient as a standalone guitar rig but also highly efficient to plug into a DAW or AUM as one unit.

If the idea is to release a convolution reverb app or IR loader where you offer your IRs but also allow 3rd party IR load and save, that would also be ok. I would wonder though how this would be different from what we already have. Our options are limited (Thafknar, iFXRack/Impulsation, iConvolver, etc..) but they already work well and get the job done.

The hassle beyond cpu resources is lack of efficient state-saving across multiple programs, lack of efficient midi mapping, and inflexible routing. An IR loader app is stuck in one position, so if you’re using an fx app like IFXrack or TH-U, you can’t really do Pre-cab Post-cab routing or fx send return loop, unless you load the fx app twice with IR app in between, which introduces additional problems. So if you release an IR loader that essentially does what the others do, there wouldn’t be much benefit to it, as we’re still stuck chaining standalone apps together. I would just simply urge for you to improve upon what we already have. I appreciate very much you not wanting to compromise the quality of your products. Your amps sound exceptional, and understandably we all want the iOS versions to be closer to the desktop versions in functionality.

Thank you for being a game changer!
