Eg Pulse / Nano Studio question
Hello folks. Still trying to set myself up with a work flow on IOS. I really like EG Pulse and I’m liking NS2. Seems to be the most stable Daw.
Question. Am I right in thinking NS2 doesn’t accept IAA?
Also ... is there a reason why when I record EG Pulse using the on screen keyboard it records into NS2. But when I do the same thing with the EG Pulse pads , it doesn’t record in NS2. ??
Sorry if these are basic questions. Just loving iOS and really want to use it as a big part of my set up, esp with beats .. thanks Jack

Hi,
Your are correct - NS2 only works with audio units (AUV3) or it's own built in instruments - there's no IAA interaction.
In AUV3 mode, EGPulse Pads won't trigger a midi note in NS2, hence no notes to record - but as you say, you can use the NS2 keyboard to trigger it. However you can I think use something like Octacron (a midi drum sequencer AUV3) as a midi input in NS2 to trigger the EGPulse track. If you want to record the midi from that, there's a documented way using miditools.
Hey man I appreciate you taking the time to reply to me. Great info Thank you 🙏
