Himalaya / More GeoFlute

edited November 2020 in Creations

The SWAM GeoFlute is not as expressive using a keyboard as the GeoSax, IMO. Still it has more authenticity than other iOS flutes. Certainly will be better played by a skilled user on the glass.
This track is made from a single midi note track. @Spidericemidas’ Mersenne preset gives it body, as well as iFretless clarinet and Ravenscroft 275 piano. Improvised, as always.

  • Sounds great! Have you purchased all of them yet?

  • Thanks, @Intrepolicious, I still lack the clarinet and oboe. Will get them, too, I’m sure.

  • Lovely flute. I had to pick this one up. I found the default presets to be too bright and made
a new preset with a softer attack. Without using the GeoShred keyboard I think the preset would need automatic vibrato to sound more human. Just a touch with a slow rate that only is obvious on the held notes.

I send you my new preset Flute for your review. I also got the Oboe so I only have the Clarinet left to complete the set.

  • @McD, I tried Attack Softener on the above track as well. I couldn’t get it to improve the flutishness. The sound if you play an individual note is great, it’s when that same feeling is presented with each note without variance. I wonder if the desktop allows control of that parameter.

As for vibrato you can overdub that or play it with your other hand, no? I look forward to your presets!

  • The presets should be in your email intray. If not, I'll try sending again and CC myself to see if the "share" feature is broken.

  • @McD, I got them, thanks!
