I've noticed, and its not completely foreign to me, that drum hits are frequently layered.

The video below is a good and simple illustration of the snare being kicked up a notch by a sample of a "clap" sound to give more punch.

During the much anticipated Drum Computer release I thought I'd start a thread about drum track tips and tricks. Open to iOS and beyond.
