Moog werkstatt with Volca and Kastle?
Ok, I am tripping out that I got together the Werkstatt for uber early xmas (lil story). The patch bay has the mini wires like the volca modular and batsle kastle. I just want to know if I can blow up the moog by user error of those lil wires. I know with the others Im ok, if I make a dumb connection it just won't sound or will stop it but no harm. The moog just scares me as its not battery. Any help or tips or tricks are appreciated and I just don't want to burn the M=oog u know! The kastle and volca I could see sending a beam ray to the moog and it just disappears. Or something goofy haha. Thanks guys I know someone can point me to sanity?

Researching this myself. I just put my Werkstatt together this week. I'm surprised that there's not a huge community of users compared to other cheap synths or other Moogs. I hope the 2020 version will change that. The 2020 version I believe has been slightly tweaked and with proper 'gate in', so the Werkstatt plays better with other CV gear. Pairs well with the ipad also, particularly Eventide for lush, expensive sounding FX and MiRack for unlimited eurorack options. Luckily if I blow it up at least I'm not out of a whole lot money and most of the parts that could burn out on the circuit board can be de-soldered and replaced.
So far the main rules I've read are:
Coolout,
you won a year of donuts! I think we may be doppelgängers... We think alike and I get your humor. Sincere thanks though brother and lets not blow up together haha!
I am familiar with running CV out of iPad which still blows me away, Pulsar and CV mod just nuts. Pulsar seems missing although I have a demo video on my page to show it.
These kind of tips are great too because there isn't really a manual on the patch bay and how it plays with other gear. When I watch the Moog official videos the dude has the front metal off and as a circuit bender was scared! No battery U see, I was like U can use arduinio and 555 this is unlimited monophonic weirdness.
Yeah, lastly that friggin matrix on the board called 'experimenters port or similiar' with a-f and 1 -16. What the bleep is that for, I mean I kinda get it, but what do you populate it with or where do you jump wires. I guess we could join moog forum if that's a thing.
*my advice I was sworn to was 'never work on a unit while its plugged into a wall'. This now is a small issue. Stay cool and link me your site or whatnot brother from another mother. (I know U get that)\

@oceansinspace from your posts it sounds like you got one without the breakout board that converts the header to 1/8” jacks. You can add one or just use breadboarding jumper wires. The breakout is a lot easier and makes it easy to interface to other gear.
Breakout board:

Or just use something like these:

Liquid: thanks I got the CV expander as it now comes with el werstatt. However those lil wires without expander work so easily with the volca modular and battle kastle. It is only 2 screws to get to normal cv jacks which is how It may end up in the end. This is a hyper drone you've lost your mind rig currently....I know some of you know more. More secure FBI synth wizards are here but await my electrocution it seems...jk im safe
