Gestrument Pro - MIDI out not working, any advice please?

Gestrument works fine but pro (version 1.2 (109) ) isn't sending MIDI out.

  • Works fine here (13.7).
If you could describe your scenario in more details that would help.

Thank you. I'm going out from my iPad to an iConnectMIDI2+ into my iMac and into my DAW (Bitwig). Track is armed and MIDI output is set (in Settings ->MIDI->MIDI Output) in GPro but no MIDI is sent from the app. If it were working, I could see the MIDI reach my interface and would also show up in MIDI monitor but it doesn't. The original Gestrument works fine. Also, GPro is working fine with the internal instruments. And clock is running in GPro. I would think it should be working...

  • First I would make sure the problem is GPro.
Hosted inside AUM it works fine here.

Midi notes sent both through GPro virtual midi port and AUM destination.

Then I would go through iCM routings.

  • I only get Midi into AUM using the Gestrument Virtual Midi port.
If I try to connect through the AUM Midi input port, my AU doesn’t receive any notes.

If you can, try connecting the Genstrument Midi port to your interface.
You might need to use AUM or Audiobus to see this port and connect it to your interface.
You can’t do it from inside the Gestrument Pro settings, since it doesn’t list it.
In that Settings page, I have NONE selected as my Midi output, but in AUM I can choose Gestrument2 (virtual) as my Midi input and play back on my AU synth.

  • They are aware and fix will come soon, I hope. Their reply was in Swedish so I can't just copy/paste but the gist of it was to use AUM and none as source in Gestrument. Some midi interfaces seem to work, others not.

o wow, this explains it then. Much appreciated!
