Punch in chords, find songs -> App?
Anyone know of an app that you can punch in some chords and it will throw up songs that you can play with those chords?
Comments
No but my god that's a great idea for an app.
Hot Tip: Punch in enough chords and you can play any song you like...
i love the idea of that app
Can’t you just play those chords and see if you hear a song in them? There have been a ton of times that I’ve sat at the piano playing stuff randomly and suddenly realized I hit on a well known song.
The hard bit about most songs is remembering the lyrics...
Not an app but Hook theory can do that

Oh, this is great, Bianca!
Not only does it give you chord ideas — it also let's you know whose lawyers will be filing suit against you for copyright infringement! 🤗
But seriously, this looks pretty cool.
Thank you!
Thanks for the ideas. It's to find songs to suit students depending on which chords they are learning the quickest.
This website looks good but I'm finding the songs it throws up are not exactly fitting the selected chords. One song for example didn't have a sing chord I selected. One had only 2 and a heap of other more advanced chords.
There’s chordify but it’s a paid app and website. You give it the song, it tells you the chords.
when I first learned guitar I used some of the easier Beatles, Nirvana Acoustic songs.
That makes sense but I find for children it helps greatly if they choose the song, or at least know it pretty well. If I had a list of songs that only use G C D for example it would simplify that process.
Chordify is sort of the reverse of what I was hoping to find. Thanks though.
