That's good. Thanks! I'm happy to know that my iOS apps aren't completely broken with Zenbeats.
I'll get the rest of the AU's ready and put them up on my web site then. Some of them are a bit different in how they are coded, so they may break even more hosts. But, now I know the signing and notarization works so at least people can let me know where they do break. Thanks for helping me out with that!
apple m1 MacBook: shows in plug in folder but does not initiate in ableton 10. Does not appear in Logic (unless Im doing something wrong)
I can't verify this, but it may be that Live doesn't support AUv3. I was actually pretty surprised that Reaper does. I'm not sure yet which hosts on macOS do support AUv3.
Installation of iOS based or derived AUv3's isn't like the normal AU's on macOS. I have installed them in three locations so far that seem to work and get found by the hosts. They are: the system Applications directory (the normal "Applications" that you see on the dock), an AudioUnits subdirectory inside of the Applications folder, and I have an Applications directory in my home directory. You may need to open the PhaseDelayArray Doc.app once to get the system to see the contained AU extension.
miRack eventually came out with a "legacy" plugin that would load in FL Studio, Live, and GarageBand. I think it has some bridging code to make it load as an older AU. You have to use the legacy version in those hosts.
Good to know. GarageBand on both x86 and M1 can use my plugins now as AUv3 (sandboxed). So, that looks to be updated now. So far, I've tested with success in Logic, Mainstage, GarageBand, and Reaper. Hosting AU works but has a couple of UI issues with one of my plugins. Ardour does not work and probably never will with iOS AU's because they don't support sandboxed plugins.
