Blockswave - a question about sample storage on iPad
Hi all,
Recently bought a256gb iPad pro
I do some video Editing on it (Luma) .
Luma is smart about importing your video and doesn't necessarily just duplicate your Mp4s filling up your iPad
Also ofc I like to make music, that's why I'm here
I bought BeatMaker 3 recently and elementary with it using about 5gb off samples I downloaded from Noiiz website. Great app btw. I don’t know how it deals with imported sound yet in terms of storage but I really did appreciate the feature which lets you access your sound via Files app.
So then I learned about BlocksWave. Which looks loads of fun and gonna try it.
HennyTjhaBizness video on YouTube give a demo, important souns via AudioShare . At the time of recording the vid, he said it was his fave sound sample manager.
So I’m just wondering... does anyone know how this app BW handles the imported samples. Does the app end up with that sample inside of it, effectively duplicating the sample on your iPad? I am tempted to think so but I winter if anyone knew for sure...,
I have the same q for Beatmaker3 as well...
I tried Ampify’s website for documentation but found no useful answer there, they don’t have a forum on there either.
Thanks, if anyone’s in the know, be grateful to hear.
Stay safe out there!

On the main page tap ‘browser’ then at the bottom tap ‘user’ - all user/imported samples are here. They are copies -so if you have imported from AudioShare then the samples will still be there.
Unfortunately despite years of requests Ampify will not implement any sort of filing/management whatsoever so they basically just accumulate. They are far more interested in making sound packs to sell.
