While browsing through the AppStore, I saw a remark by a developer this morning (some Midi Recorder app) that due to a newly included feature the app appeared not as the same as before to the OS, but rather as something new, and therefore did not match any conditions to use it in previously recorded files. Don't ask me for details, in its self-contained idiosyncratic logic, it sounded reasonable, seen from the ordinary user's side, less.
Interesting; that could account for a specific app disappearing. But I was referring to the total disappearance of AUv3 that we experience, normally fixed by a device restart.
There are many ways to skin a cat, or as the radiologists put it, to scan a kid....
The whole construction looks a bit fragile, but I am definitely not in the position to say where and how a reinforcement and improvement could be done. Just observing the symptoms.
