Pure Acid Update: Conditional Trigs!
For those who don't follow the mega thread and would have no reason to know: Pure Acid just updated with step conditions in the drum sequencer, similar, I believe, the the Elektron-inspired trig conditions in the GR-16 app.
And it's in AU!
Comments
I’m just discovering trig conditions and parameter locks. Fantastic compositional tools. Not too many apps have them yet. Thanks, @jimpavloff
GR-16 is the mother of CT on iOS.. Auv3 will put it on par with Drum Computer..
GR16 was my first taste, but drambo seems to be the most thorough implementation. I love grooverider, though.
GR16 emulates (at least in its parameter locking) the Elektron flow almost exactly. But as far as I know it's only Pure Acid that is AU. Or do you all know something I don't know?
I guess GR’s straight forward approach and early implementation makes it stand out..
Yet to dive deep into Drambo.. any videos on it’s CT, specifically?
Thanks.. I guess with AU hosting pending ... it will be good to learn.. Thanks..
@RajahP :You still down w Stagelight?
Not much lately.. the modular thing got me locked..
Edit.. and I think ATOM 2 is going blow up.. everything..
The more I see of and use Pure Acid, the more I’m impressed. I finally emailed Jim my idea to have a similar app specifically meant for beatmaking, using an 808 bass and hip-hop centric drum samples.
[gasps, lights a votive candle and prays silently]
There's an early morning palm tree fire
on Christmas day in Los Angeles
yet despite this sign of what may come
a deaf ear's turned to your silent pleas.
Harsh but fair.

And a beautiful stanza.
Which made me think: Is this some brutal Frederick Seidel poem I'm unaware of?
And then it led me to the greatest headline of our generation:
DID ODD FUTURE START A FAIRFAX PALM TREE ON FIRE? DESPITE WHAT YOU'VE READ, NO
Well done, you found it. I think of that bit of film as the Zapruder for those of us who are more obscurity than conspiracy. Should really make some music to go with it.
That image will stay with me forever.
