    It sounds really good @echoopera

Nice to see other screen capture jams in january that is not related to Jamuary 😉.

  • Day 12

Taking some Korg apps for a spin. Something a little different.

  • @Thepixelproducers @Lorichs @echoopera @janpieter @cokomairena @JoHe

You guys are all killing it!

Great stuff by everyone! (Finally got caught up and listened to everyone’s stuff)

  • Here’s my contribution to the thread, (and “Jamuary” I guess?)

This is the AUM version of the piece entitled “The Facade” that I posted earlier. For some reason the full Loopy Pro version sounds a little different.

This is how I intended the bass to sound.

  • It has been a good morning:

Hope you enjoy. As is the norm of late, the LoopyPro project is in the YouTube description...

  • Don’t forget your phones. This one needs bass.

@Edward_Alexander that was a monster jam. NICE.

  • Welcome to the party @Edward_Alexander !! Soundung as great as ever.

  • Day 13

Only enough time for a quick Run in Groovebox this evening.

I enjoyed this! I listened to it on my way home from work tonight in the car.

Fun fact: this piece is exactly the length of time it takes me to get home. Oh and the sound you used at 6:23 kinda startled me.. I had to check my rear view mirrors! Haha

Been having a blast with Loopy Pro last couple days. Here’s another one from yesterday:

(Had some fun with the visuals!)

@Thepixelproducers i’m glad that you got time for the daily jam because that was great.
@Edward_Alexander and @echoopera great to have you guys onboard. Also a great jam today.

Se you guys tonight (or what ever you say).

  • @Edward_Alexander Very cool. Glad i could accompany you on the drive. 😉 i hear that sound now. Ah the joys of loading up patches to test 🤪

LoopyPro has me on a groove these days. Here’s some Layr action for tonight:

    Day 14

  • In this Jamuary jam streak I hope that it is ok to do a shitty track once in a while..
    Try to enjoy.

Are you kidding? Nothing shitty about that my friend! Loved it! Don’t be so hard on yourself, you’ve got a lot of talent and you’re making music. There’s a lot of people who could only dream of making a track like this here!

    Day 14

I’m always most impressed by these jams you pull off on just a phone! Love this one!

  • This one is a bit long but when making music like this you can’t be in a rush.
I start with a close up on the Bleass Dragonfly because that app is just so beautyfull.
It is the second jam where i can easily play my gourd banjo and mix it with synthesizers thanks to Loopy Pro.
As we say in Denmark: a drop on a dry spot.

  • Thanks so much for the words @Edward_Alexander I don’t mean to offend anybody. I had 3 or 4 idears but I couldn’t make them work the way I wanted to so I got frustrated.

@Thepixelproducers I’m also impressed that you are doing all these jams on an iphone only. And you are on FIRE right now. The stuff you have done the last couple of days is awesome 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

  • @Edward_Alexander @Lorichs Thanks for the encouraging words. I don’t have a lot of downtime during the week so the phone has always been my go to. Essentially having a music studio in my pocket has been a huge for me creatively. 😊

@Lorichs I have to agree. Just showing up everyday is everything. You’ll never be happy with every track. That’s a given. But it’s almost guaranteed you’ll be getting better and will have a better understanding of your tools/apps when all is said and done. You’re stuff is already great so just imagine what it’ll grow into.

Yesterday was without drums and percussion. They are back today with a vengeance as we are crossing the halfway mark of Jamuary.

NB. I dared to play a bit around with panning today. It is a bit risky for me to do. Since i’m deaf on my right ear I don’t kniw how it sounds and how it should sound.

  • Back to Loopy Pro for Day 16.

Nice! Even listen on my iPhone 11 Pro Max speakers, I can hear a clear left and right separation.

Love the crackle, love the lofi drums, heck I love all of it!

  • I only have time for a quick jam today and Pure Acid needed some love. And I can’t have a jamuary without an acid jam.

  • Day 17

Chill vibes to wind down after a long day.

  • Been a bit busy lately so I haven't had time to catch up on my listening let alone play around until last night, hehe. Looking forward to having a listen at all the stuff that's been posted this Jan.

I actually broke down and bought Korg Gadget while it was still discounted in part because of your music. I hope I can do something half as good.

Wow thank you for your nice words! Don't doubt to hit me up if you have any questions, I love talking about music making, and korg gadget has so much to offer!

Thank you for the kind offer! I will take you up on that! :)

  • I had a lot of fun catching up. Thanks for all the music folks!

    Day #4

Quick team up with Blocs Wave and Figure.

It’s always cool to see you use and master so a diverse set of apps, and you also make it look so easy hehe. Not good for my pocket, but good for my ears!

    Day 5
Dusted off the guitar for this one. I need practice. 🤦🏾♂️ Loopy Pro really stretches the imagination. So fun !

Nice. Kind of a jazzy hip hop track!

Great to see the jams flowing. Great work everyone!
Day 6 was a struggle finding some inspiration. Groovebox to the rescue with a little Chiptune action.

This came out great! Has a great cinematic feel to it.

    Day 7
Got this Jam in on my lunch break. House Mark I /Digitalism 2000 with some Blocs wave chops.

The House Mark has some nice sounds.

    Day 8.
Messed around in Loopy but couldn’t come up with anything I liked. Jumped into a classic iMaschine 2 for a quick jam.
    Day 9
Messing around with the slicer in Loopy Pro. Man this app is so deep !
    Day 10

Coming in late but here is Day 11

Very chill vibe on all of these. Nice demonstration of FlyTape 2. I’ve always wondered what it was used for and how it would make something sound (but didn’t do my due diligence in researching).

    Day 12
Taking some Korg apps for a spin. Something a little different.

Did you sample Korg into the Koala sampler? Nice jam!

    Day 13
Only enough time for a quick Run in Groovebox this evening.
    Day 14
    Day 15
Back to Loopy Pro for Day 16.
    Day 17
Chill vibes to wind down after a long day.

These are a nice change of pace for me, in terms of my listening today. The previous ones were all breezy and chill. These ones are a bit more moody. The first one has a hint of danger to it.

    @Lorichs said:
    Leaving the melancholy of yesterday.
The lyrics are in danish and you don’t wanna know the meaning….. Nooooouu they is not naughty. They are just really silly.

This is really catchy. By any chance, are the robot lyrics using 4Pockets Lyricist?

Edit: Was listening without looking at the vid, when all of a sudden I see someone (you?) dancing. Haha that was so funny but cool.

Really slowing down again. And oh boy! This was a tough one to make.I had yesterday´s jam, Robo-Hobo stuck as an ear worm so it was really hard to come up with something new today.. But lucky me… at work we have this beautyful gong at the moment. That is an opportunity too good to be missed so I grapped my mic and Ipad and recorded some loops in Gauss and some oneshots in Loopy pro. Another thing is that the stage has these perfectly parallel walls. So if you clap your hands in the right possition you will get the most beautyfull flutter echo. I tried to capture that as well. That is why the first 18 seconds of the track is dry apart from a bit of compression. Later tons of reverb is added..

Nice! Started kind of eerie, but turned into something else (made me think of cop movies).

Not much to say about this one apart from: Lets go fellaz! 4 to the Floor!….. aaand sorry about the clunky ending

The ending sounded fine to me, but what do I know lol. Another catchy groove.

Just made it i time 🥵
    Going minimalistic today.
This tune just gave it self to me but damn this one was breaking my balls to make. Why? Because i’m such a dumb-ass with Sample loops. I just don’t get the sync-game.

It’s not always that I hear a tune that features whistling. Can only count a few that I remember (My Name Is Nobody by Ennio Morricone; Patience by GNR). This sounded great.

It is Drum n’ Bass saturday fellaz.. Well that doesn’t mean that there is gonna be drum’n bass every saturday but today that is what I got.
I was not quite finished with gong samples I made earlier this week so I hope that it is not considered cheating that I use them again. But this time the beat faster. Maybe it should have been faster but hey! It is weekend.. lets chill

Why let them go to waste, right? :) Another great one.

A quiet sunday jam. I graped my gourd banjo, dusted of my old electric bass and recorded some loops. Then took a little trip to one of the local parks armed with Gauss field recorder and a little mic to record some water. Finally I spices it up with a bit of Retro Piano.
But mixing this was really hard. Lots of interfering frequencies and I can’t decide what is to loud and what is to quiet.. ahaaaahhhhhhh 😫. I can’t find that sweet spot where it is muddy but still has the right amount of clarity 😭.

Completely subverted my expectations. I don’t know why I was expecting a jaunty type of folksy tune. Very nice and dark.

It is the first double didget day in Jamuary but today was really a struggle. I love Eat Static and i wanted to make something psykadelic. I have to say that I had a blast creating the sounds. But putting it together in a jam was a different story… I think that I just bite of more than I chew. Well….. back on the horse again tomorrow!

Mmmm! 🤗 Ambient jam. Just what I needed today 🦋🌸🌈🧚🏼♀️.
Maybe I’ll make some evil music tomorrow…… who knows?

Nice sounds on both of these!

well well well! What do ya know?!…. Evil music( kind of) MUUUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! 😱☠️👻👹

Fun! This would totally be cool in a Halloween fun house. Kinda sets the mood hehe.

Don’t forget your phones. This one needs bass.

Nice reggae type jam! Is there any type of music you CAN’T do? Hehe.

In this Jamuary jam streak I hope that it is ok to do a shitty track once in a while..
    Try to enjoy.

Man, if this is shitty, then my stuff is pure puke lol

This one is a bit long but when making music like this you can’t be in a rush. I start with a close up on the Bleass Dragonfly because that app is just so beautyfull. It is the second jam where i can easily play my gourd banjo and mix it with synthesizers thanks to Loopy Pro. As we say in Denmark: a drop on a dry spot.

I’ve read of Dragonfly but have never seen it in action to my knowledge. In what capacity did you use it here? I noticed you have it after Rydimgare in the chain. Nice strings sample too. Banjo?

Yesterday was without drums and percussion. They are back today with a vengeance as we are crossing the halfway mark of Jamuary.
NB. I dared to play a bit around with panning today. It is a bit risky for me to do. Since i’m deaf on my right ear I don’t kniw how it sounds and how it should sound.

this obviously is loopy with blocswave samples (and guitar)

    Wow. Just wow. Love it.

since it also qualifies as a screen capture jam.

Nice. Dunno if it’s the background image, but the bass does remind me of a sexy engine revving.

    @echoopera
Another cross post to add to this wonderful thread:
    A little late night exploration:
It has been a good morning:

Great! Love the ambiance and the percussion in all these tracks. The bells on the third track are really nice.

LoopyPro has me on a groove these days. Here’s some Layr action for tonight:

Exquisite indeed. Had a bit of a “Shaft” (“Shut your mouth!”) vibe at the beginning.

    @JoHe
Another little tune in Loopy Pro.

Very nice! Nice change of pace at the end too.

(Had some fun with the visuals!)

Idk why this one evokes a classic rock feel in me. I may have the wrong song in mind, but I’m thinking Jethro Thull’s “Teacher Teacher” in terms of vibe :) I might have to hunt down the song to see if I’m right or way off

  • Day 18

Diving into AUM with a few Audiokit apps.

  • edited January 2022

This is a heavy one. Not heavy metal just heavy…

Hi @AlexY i’m amazed and i really appreciate that you are taking the time to listen an comment on our Jamuary tracks. That is a LOT of music 😊

I’ll awser you questions from the top down.

“This is really catchy. By any chance, are the robot lyrics using 4Pockets Lyricist?

Edit: Was listening without looking at the vid, when all of a sudden I see someone (you?) dancing. Haha that was so funny but cool.”

No i’m not using Lyricist. I’m using the good ol’ voicesynth and yes! The guy “dancing” is me 😄

“ It’s not always that I hear a tune that features whistling. Can only count a few that I remember (My Name Is Nobody by Ennio Morricone; Patience by GNR). This sounded great.”

I try to use other sound sources than just electronics. That can be expressive in a totally different way.

” Nice reggae type jam! Is there any type of music you CAN’T do? Hehe.”

Jazz, classical just to mention a few 😉

” Man, if this is shitty, then my stuff is pure puke lol”

Thanks. In the future i’ll try bust my own balls in private only. I had no intention to offend anybody but myself 😄

” I’ve read of Dragonfly but have never seen it in action to my knowledge. In what capacity did you use it here? I noticed you have it after Rydimgare in the chain. Nice strings sample too. Banjo?”

Dragonfly is in midi mode. And it is after Rymdigare because I wanted the effect to affect the reverb tail. That was one of the basic idears of the jam. The gourd banjo was added later. I wanted to mix things up a little bit and add som contrast. So yes it is a banjo…. But a gourd banjo. It is the same that I used on the “sunday jam”

Again. Thanks so much for listening and commenting. It is very motivating
