Retrospective MIDI Record - Every iOS DAW should have this
Cubase, Ableton and Studio One all have the extremely useful feature commonly called Retrospective MIDI Record.
To have this in our iOS DAWs and MIDI based apps and plugins would be so useful.
And also in AUM for that matter.
Gadget, Beatmaker, Cubasis and the rest... all could make us happy by adding this.
From Steinberg blurb:
"...Retrospective MIDI Record setting allows you to capture any MIDI notes that you play in Stop mode or during playback and turn them into a MIDI part after the fact. This is possible because Cubase can capture MIDI input in buffer memory, even when not recording."

Logic does something like this too.
Akai force does this too. It’s great. Also, the Roland Fantom X, which is very long in the tooth, can do this with audio generated from either midi or external inputs (which is NUTS)
I was thinking of implementing something like this into my live-jamming setup. In general, the idea is to always have one channel in e.g. LK Matrix dedicated as this "MIDI buffer", always set to recording. There will definitely be some limitations, but I believe it could be still be useful tool.
