I see you're current with the newest toys... some good apps dropped recently. DrumComputer is epic to kick start something new, right?

Gauss Field is @brambos at the top of his game... kind of a re-purposed Kosmonaut looper with re-worked FX ideas. Really worth the money for sure.

Any fool could use those two and some kind of audio source or file for Gauss and make a convincing track in a NIN vein. Then you just need to aggressively whisper your internal pain over the top and call it a band.

"I want to crush you into jell beans
and lick your blood off of the floor."

Unrequited love ballad type of thing with a heavy dose of mental unhinged dementia.
Hmm... I just might be "any fool" and I own these apps and AUM to boot.

UPDATE: This is what I discovered using similar tools:

  • Yes, DC is a magnet for inspiration. It’ll definitely smash you into jelly beans. Nice brap you made there. You should think about sprinkling in some movie samples on top.

My next test is Gauss. Going to mix it with Fundamental Volbot and see what comes out!

  • @iOSTRAKON I still didn't quickly dial in the darker sound but I ran out of time. Thanks for the inspiration to try for a different target. I think I should do this with more genres to get a sense of how the various sausages are made.

  • My MO is start at lower tempo - usually 50-70 bpm to get that grinding industrial sound. You’re welcome for the inspiration. Always cool to dip your toe into other genres.

  • I found something to get me closer to some industrial hell. Eventide CrushStation is the shit:

  • omg these are so cooool

Hotel purgatory can be a drag :) I had a blast with music during my stay at the in Missouri. I stayed here: https://www.westgateresorts.com/hotels/missouri/branson/

They had a great setup that made downtime enjoyable. Hope you find your groove and turn this situation into a fun memory too!
