FMTines PSP Desktop

I decided to down load the FMTines in PureSynthPlatinum (19gb!j and, on the surface, it seems great. Better than the standalone, which is more expensive and half the presets. HOWEVER, it seems like the sample sizes are way too much for my iPad Pro2. Either will not mixdown or takes way too long. No success with that. Now trying a freeze of the PSP track, also interminably long.

Edit: it did freeze eventually but mixdown still an issue. So maybe that’s not the problem. I have added ddmf for EQ. Maybe that? Signed perplexed.

Edit: mixdown worked. So, if you are patient, unlike me, the PSP inapp is better than the standalone if you have external sad or alots of memory on your iPad.

Does my sample size supposition make sense?

Are you using a desktop too now?

Maybe try freeze with no other plugs/processing?
If it can do that in a better timeframe, you could then reapply the plugs/processing on the simple audio track.

Probably won’t make a difference, but if you are out of things to try...

  • @CracklePot, no, the PSP inapp is a direct copy of the desktop tines. Still doing all on iOS.

  • Thank you.
    A bit dim, I am.

I was picturing you getting all into Abelton or Reason, and was preparing to be blown away.
    😊

  • @CracklePot, @kinkujin did me the over the top favor of gifting me a 2013 MBP with 16 gB RAM. An incredible orange machine and most generous bequeathal! I bought a VI Labs Fazioli VST, got the free Spitfire BBCSO and downloaded REAPER. Definitely a step up in sonic quality from iOS, but will be a while before I actually produce something on it. It’s a joy to use.

  • Well that is exciting.
I look forward to you getting comfortable on desktop.
You have been incredibly productive with iOS, creating a massive catalog of great music.

  • @CracklePot, thank you, my friend.
