One thing I love about this forum.
So one thing I love about this forum is that @Michael develops and sells plugins. One of them is called Audiobus...
Have you ever been bombarded here with ads for Audiobus? Has @Michael ever posted with the hard sell? Have you ever felt that this forum was a vehicle to push more copies of Audiobus?
The closest @Michael has come to using his own forum for self-promotion is apologizing that the next version of Loopy is taking so long...
Respect @Michael 👊
Thank you for creating community.

Absolutely! 🙌
I frequent many forums but here feels like home.
Indeed. I am a lurker at PianoWorld and there is always this feeling that the owner needs money. “PianoWorld is not FREE” you will be reminded quite often. I wish the members there would team up and free PianoWorld! Btw, I have contributed to PW, and would to this forum in a minute.
Perhaps some of you remember when Apple did something that was going to hurt @Michael’s and others revenue stream. Many offered to help out, but the dude refused. That’s the kind of dude he is.
Well, the dude abides, and we love him for it.
Agreed. Thank you very much @Michael!
One of the few civilized communities indeed. Yes, I'm also surprised that I've never seen @michael plugging his own creation and talking down competitors at all. Much respect.
It is a quality forum, despite the certain tendencies of some posters that I feel obligated to pick on. I'll admit to enjoying the picking on them too.
I'm guessing this was the change to stop commissions from external links to the app store? That would have been a really rough change for a lot of folk.
Thanks guys, that’s very kind! Glad to see my subliminal advertising and/or mind control via microdots in the punctuation hasn’t been detected.
😂😂😂
@Gavinski, yep, that was it. @Michael... who you callin’ a microclod?
Totally agree. Discussion of products that can be seen as direct competitors to his is quite acceptable. It’s a very rare, generous and cooperative situation. Kudos!
Yes, very noble, Michael is a top guy!

Yeah that super-sucked. I’m willing to look past it now that they’ve dropped their App Store cut to 15% though!
A great reminder for all of us who really enjoy and appreciate the community here.
On the other hand, I've clicked on the "Audiobus" link so many times (5,638 over the last 7 years apparently) that it is now synonymous in my mind with iOS music. That's a pretty good place for a developer to be in; the Kleenex of mobile audio
microdots are a good trip 🤪🤪🤪
Pretty sure he said microdolt...
Yep, he’s cleaning up...
It’s gotten me feeling loopy a time or 2.
Yeah, time to start licking the punctuation.
Shiiiiit, it was the dots! (dot) Luckily I’ve deployed my “dotless forum” script, so I’m safe (dot)(dot)(dot)
OK, deep breath: Am I the only one with a black soul who assumes that the information we provide on the forums is sold unless you specifically opt out? Or am I wrong about that?
The problem is no one is buying.
Do people really have any substantial personal info on here? (Other than long posts about individual app preferences of course, which I'm happy for audio developers to mine as they see fit)
This thread takes another turn! I guess there’s some market research data in here but it’s pretty niche.
Yes indeed. Many thanks to @Michael for this forum and especially that there are no
ads!
@ExAsperis99 ... no, brother, you are right on! Deep Solid State! MAnon!
