Wow. Just watched Sound of Metal (Amazon Original). A must-see film about a musician going deaf.
If you see one movie this year, watch this one. Free on Amazon Prime. Oscar worthy acting and sound editing/mixing/whatever. You know that you should protect your ears when it comes to making music but this film really conveys it in a way that hits hard. Also has other themes. A great movie that is not preachy, cliche, or predictable. Has 97% favorable rating on Rotten Tomatoes, for those who care about that sort of thing.

Looks awesome. Will it only be on Amazon?
I will have to watch it, I am a left over metalhead
Thanks for the headline.. I’ve been on the fence about this film, and it pushed me right over!
Thanks for the info.
Yea I would normally have passed, but dealing with health as well you suddenly watch others journeys and this one looks good. Spoiler alert... im already sad whoever lost hearing! Man that is like demon curse, didn't Beethoven go deaf or a percentage? I feel like I d be livid at whatever god type thing, but that would just eat you up. Cheers I will watch.
My wife and I watched it last weekend and it is really good! It is really sad but good. I will say as someone with pretty bad tinnitus that some of the sounds coming out of this movie were bothering me and making me uncomfortable, but I made it thru.
Good timing, this was in my queue for tonight already!
You'll appreciate that there is an Octatrack scene in the movie. Don't see that too often in a film.
I have never heard of it, but I just finished 3 big projects last night, so I’ll watch today!
Thanks for the heads up
