Anyone here know anything about Excel??
I'm asking on behalf of a friend.
He needs to be able to convert one Excel format
to another online spreadsheet format.
It involves transferring 3600 Excel cells
to an online spreadsheet format
including grabbing 300+ web links,
frame grabbing thumbnail images
and inserting them into Excel.
Is there an easy way to do this?
Thank you in advance.

What’s the other spreadsheet? Might be easiest to save as CSV then import; most spreadsheet applications will handle CSV seamlessly. Though the images might be harder. Consider https://Airtable.com... might be useful.
Yup, that was one suggestion and apparently he said it wasn't possible.
Let me see if I can find out the online spreadsheet format.
Thank you for answering.
This is exactly the way I'd do it also. But I'm not sure a comma delimited file or CSV can handle the import of the images - these aren't usually native to spreadsheet applications. the web links themselves should be easily handled however.
What types of files can the online spreadsheet import? Excel can export as a web page. Maybe the other spreadsheet can import from a web page? That seems like it might pick up the images OK.

I'll pass on the link...

Thank you for replying as well.
I'm currently waiting for further info.
This may sound silly, but can you just copy and paste the cells between the two formats? I’m very glad to not use spreadsheets anymore in my life.
I have no idea of the end format.
It's the one piece of information I'm missing otherwise
I would've included that in the original request.
As I've mentioned I'm waiting for a reply.
Yeah, that was one of the questions as well.
Apparently not.
I have no idea about spreadsheets.
The last time I looked at Excel was in the 90's.
Okay, I'm waiting until he gets back
to me with further information.
Thank you all.
Has your friend checked to see if the other spreadsheet supports importing Excel -- even Google Sheets will import Excel spreadsheets directly without needing to export to CSV. Some excel features aren't imported (like PivotTables).
Update.
They've got it sorted now.
Thank you very much your assistance.
Much appreciated.
Great to hear...
