  • There are some talented people there for sure. What a shame no live audience in attendance. Still, the performers were superb. Thanks, i enjoyed everything about it.

  • I listened to this other day. Reminds me of school. Christmas going to Brighton dome to sing in choir ( although I just pretended to sing ) probably let the choir down. Thought I could just hear my voice. Blinded by lights etc. Town was a buzz with everyone visiting the dome. Then off to Wimpy. Also reminds me off going to mass with my uncle.

  • Mrs Woodman. Theres always the mad music teacher.

Lovely opening music.... Metaphor for the Advent... hmm.

This was beautiful @mrufino1 . Nice job on the mix. Some parts sounded like whole string sections. Some good references and quotes from theologians too!

Thanks! I’m so lucky to work there, very cool people to work with and I also love their message. I’m glad you enjoyed it. Every Sunday is a jazz service, though not usually with string quartet. My first day there they were doing a version of “Don’t you worry bout a thing” by Stevie Wonder and I knew that I fell into a very fun gig. 8 years later it’s even more fun.

One that has definitely been a challenge is recording things like this with everyone socially distanced- a string quartet isn’t supposed to that far away from each other, and having drums all the way on the other side of the stage creates interesting bleed in piano mics and socially distanced string mics. But, I’ve learned a lot during this pandemic about dealing with stuff like that and I’m lucky to work at all so no complaints.

@sigma79 , I’m going to check that video out. I love Christmas music in just about any form.
