elastic fx or kohla fx?

  • The Elastic FX are fun but they're not available as AUv3.

  • I like Koala FX. It's a quick and easy way to try out different effects combinations and easily re-order them...
...seems to be very easy on the CPU as well.

  • KoalaFX is more useful to me, especially with how you can blend between preset groups.

  • I like koala more cos elastic kind of overwhelms me and koala being an au helps a lot

  • If I could only have one it would be an easy choice - Elastic FX - more effects, automation, xy pads, and comprehensive master effects on top.

  • agh man, i don’t know which to choose. i like the fox in elastic drums, i’m guessing they are similar?

It can help to sit back and re-iterate about what you actually need.

  • turnado by sugar bytes

  • i rarely use an effect that isn’t an audio unless it is going in the final mix, then i don’t care as all the music is complete.
that and the fact koala is an amazing app... and like @3sleeves said you can blend between presets...makes it my choice. i have both and i grab koala every time

knowing you grab koala first when you ha e both is very helpful. thanks

i cant say much for elastic fx, but koala is an app i go to for nearly every project i work on (before mixbox came along at least...)
its super simple and easy, the UI is nice to look at, and it sounds good! especially the dirty effect.

  • Elastic fx is great but being IAA is a hobble for any app but particularly for fx. For this reason, although I love it, I never use it

  • Koala FX is great. So simple and easy to use, comp and dirt bring some of that vinyl sim/vulf compressor.
