State saving IAA apps won’t load strait away and crush in Audiobus.

I don’t think there’s a chance Audiobus and IAA gets stable before completely deprecated.
Should I risk using those lovely IAA apps in a live situation on one host?
Which one should get an update for stability?host or Apps?

  • Dont know what you mean. I think I need sb in audiobus on another ipad for full screen mode. Shoom in audiobus on same ipad but apps like tc performer on other ipad in aum.

They both need to host iaa until iv made enough tracks with the iaa's.

At this rate my ipad will be like a deprecated ipad before I make any tracks.

  • Some are more valuable. Not good if you bought 100s. Audiokit 909 for example. People are complaining and i bought just for sampling anyway ( did I even need to ) plus UI is stupid even in auv3. Even full screen you dont even see all tracks.

  • It will be around for a while yet and even audiobus and aum will keep iaa support.

  • IAA I use I thinkare just tc performer. Hexaglyphics. mendaltone. Fingerfiddle. touchscaper along with a bt keyboard to get an added midi control. Its like normal keys with hyperkeys. Plus audiobus hosting like I say for sb drum and shoom makes me not map to a controller ( with all knobs buttons on controller ) gone.

  • fingerfiddle would be worst to lose along with TC.

    Violin is hyper sensitive.

Sort of an arp. Nothing mental. Just a quick test. The ribben acts like a hyper fast key swipe. Along with a keyboard. Maybe a custom piano.

  • ah. Annoying. sb drum ( 6 output in audiobus ) 50 percent cpu static. Aum 27 percent.

  • ah sorry Audiobus. Different frames. Not a fair comparison. World didnt end.

Which apos are being unstable for you. I find many reliable and stable with Audiobus.

If you provide specifics to @Michael he will likely address them.

I find AB to be reliable. It is helpful if you provide specifics rather than make blanket statements. For many Audiobus is reliable. Many IAA apps are rock solid.

    What OS are you running?

(If you are running iOS 14.2, the OS could be your issue).

    Ok. I’m on 14.2
Must I stop upgrading. It somehow did it without my will 😥🤬

Gestrument pro gives all of a sudden this horrible buzz. Sometimes it doesn’t play when I load a project.
Samplr doesn’t load strait away and when it does it play for few seconds even when it’s muted.
    Drumjam sometimes doesn’t load.

  • I recommend reporting any problems you encounter with Audiobus to @Michael. He can't address problems if people don't report them to him. (And, by the way, even if the issue is an OS issue, he has been known to have some luck getting Apple's attention).

Nice one. Thnx for your response

  • Everyone quiet down, I want to hear more from Sigma 79

Perhaps you could change the thread title. It gives the impression that things are drastically worse than they generally are.

  • lol. I know. Just take over thread. Chatting like an old lady. Forget its a forum to ask questions about apps etc.

  • If you are letting Audiobus open those IAA apps for you, try opening the apps first before you open the Audiobus session.
Some IAA problems can be avoided if you launch the app first, then load into the host.

It is a pain to do that every time, though. There was a method to do it with iOS Shortcuts, but I never got around to trying it.

Thanx for the tip. I sometimes do it actually.
Also to change Audiobus preset I’ll have to shut it down and open a preset.
Will it ever one day work like a charm? 🤔
