Klevgrand Pipa Vocal Synth Full Video Walkthrough (winners announced)

Klevgrand Pipa Vocal Synth Full Video Walkthrough (3 FREE iOS Copies to Give Away!!)

Pipa, by Klevgrand, is an extremely enjoyable vocal synthesizer for iPad/desktop that I have been having a lot of fun with. It is deeper than it looks at first glance, and in this video I go into all you need to know to use it, including the wonderful LFO and external modulation options. This video looks at the iOS version but everything within is relevant to the desktop version too. The only difference between them is that the iOS version handles less polyphony. The video goes into quite a bit of detail, and serves as a video manual for the app. I include some tips for how to deal with the polyphony limit while inputting generative midi, as well as how to get the maximum level of expression from the app.

I have 3 free copies of the iOS app to give away (iOS intro price is $9.99 but will rise to $19.99 after Jan 6th 2021). Details of how to win (if watching in the first 2 days of release) are in the pinned comment. If watching after that time, make sure to subscribe and hit the bell so as not to miss out on future giveaways - I almost always have free copies of apps to give away with each video.

  • Watching this video is making me want something i really didnt think I’d need. Klevgrand apps have a way of doing that, on paper i think this isn’t for me then i hear them in action.

  • Just saw this was released

  • Finally some comments, thank you guys 😂. I love these kind of synth sounds so I was all over this right away. The Korg Kapro choir is certainly nice, but this is so so much more versatile. I think this on intro price is the same as the korg Kapro choir at regular price? I certainly know which i would choose. This is definitely one of my apps of the year, purely based on how much I have enjoyed using it.

  • Like I said I never thought its something I'd need but after watching the video im now listening to tracks I'm working on thinking it would benefit from some choir singing lol

These kinds of sounds are very on trend these days (not that I give a damn, just an observation), I think this will be a pretty big hit for klevgrand.

  • Klevgr makes amazing apps! Thank’s for this demosession...

  • My eyes ain't what they used to be...
...when this app was released I read it like (Pippa) which is a Swedish word for something completely different and would only makes sense if the app made some moaning noises...

The question is will I get 'lucky' this time around haha :D

  • Hahaha, someomw commented in the youtube thread that in some Eastern European languages it also has that meaning 😂. I said they should bring out a hybrid synth called Jussi Pipa 🤣 @samu

They do, I've been impressed by their recent offerings for sure.

  • This is a lovely synth, really enjoyed the limited time I’ve had with it today, like Hillman it’s got a unique feel to it, definitely one to keep working with for me :)

  • Anyone that bought Pippa and has Phonem can tell me how do they compare sound wise?

I'd love to know where you've heard sounds like this recently! I heard them a lot more in 2013.

Thank you for the video demonstration...I hit "like" and left a comment, but I had to buy it today. Sometimes you hear a sound that makes you go "damn, son!" and you just feel the need to turn up and run the trap, y'know?

  • @Gavinski Jussi Pipa, app pun of the year candidate. Video is great once again.

Lol, i don't listen to much pop or edm music so to me 2013 stuff and 2020 stuff sounds much the same 😜

I think it’s only us old timers (and possibly raggare) who still knows that word though. 😂

  • Looking forward to hearing what @LinearLineman will do with his prize!

  • Me too! That will be the gift that keeps on giving!

  • I got Streetlytron pro on keyboard. With the midi knob thing to switch between 3 instruments or choir. Might see if I can map to modwheel.

    Should this compliment Streetlytron well?

  • @Gavinski, wow, that is simply great. Thanks very much, mate.
@qryss, will incorporate it in my journey to the stars, for sure!

  • This layered with the Hillman Mellotron preset is heaven, especially with the voice panning.
