A couple of Gauss recordings/videos

hey everyone - Like quite a few of you here, I've been having lots of fun with the new Gauss looper app. As far as I'm concerned, the app did what it intended and had me break out of the 'grid' so to speak in making tracks... I've found it quite inspiring these last few weeks. So many thanks to @brambos and @Hainbach for releasing this amazing app!

here's a couple of screen recordings using Gauss in AUM (along with a few other apps)

I’ve only seen the first one (on my way to bed) I’ll see the next one tomorrow.

  • Beautiful stuff @Halftone , especially the first one

thanks guys! yeah, the 1st one is my fav too! (edit: I had them mixed up, I love the 2nd one: Rise & Fall..)

  • Both the videos are excellent!

How are you creating the original loops? Just recording pads and drones into Gauss?

  • Nice! You also have this thread you could use to present your creations: https://forum.audiob.us/discussion/42045/daily-screen-capture-jams-post-and-listen

yeah, the past couple weeks I've been going crazy recording a bunch of other apps into Gauss and seeing what happens. Done so much , I can't often remember which apps I've used recorded. But I do remember one of the synths in video 1 was Audiokit D1 synth. The 2nd video (Rise and Fall) has a few Geoshred loops recorded into Gauss.

  • @Halftone Lovely stuff. What are the other apps you used on "Reflection" besides Gauss and AUM?

Thanks alot. 1st channel has the free Nembrini Jr. amp sim thing (adding some crunch & drive) , 2nd channel has Attack Softener, then Blue Mangoo's Parametric EQ, into Audio Damage Dubstation delay, channels 3 and 4 sent to a mix bus with FAC Alteza.

Thanks! It sounds great. Somehow in my dozens and dozens of apps I don't have any of those and didn't recognize the icons. :D

  • Great stuff ! ..is Gauss being used only as a Looper or using any of the effects or sequencing features also? I am trying to find some good ideas and inspirations on how to best use the sequencer ...

mostly just looping - but in the Reflections video on channel 1, the bass line playing is using the sequencer in Gauss. I've tried using the sequencer more, but usually not too keen on the results..
