It is really quick.
It's the E=mc2 of music.
The speed is, like you say ,'absurd'.
When one needs a synth or sample ready for playing?
Perfect.
It does need more presets though.
Not everyone wants to read the manual....
I really love miRack, it proved to me I don’t need modular ever. I can’t imagine spending thousands in a bulky modular after that convenience. It’s just a 1:1 simulation of actually using a rack. I couldn’t do vcv rack on laptop but miRack is a completely different experience for me. Drambo is seriously something else though. I know next to nothing about it given it’s depth and I’m still always making noob mistakes but I’ve used enough hardware to understand it’s significance and complexity. It’s kind of my dream app mostly and even more so now that I can put miRack inside it, or anything else for that matter. Definitely a desert island choice
Posting here because there’s like 5 concurrent Drambo threads and this one seems the most general. Finally made a music Instagram and will be mostly posting Drambo-centric snippets

😅
Nice!
Can you make them public so everyone can see them?
I wasn’t aware they weren’t 😂
This is excellent stuff @bcrichards! Quite a wide range of work going on. Really really nice 👍🏻
Nice vids.
Good to hear your music.
@bcrichards nice to put a face with the “hey, it’s Ben”!
Thanks all! To get back to Gravitas’s original thread, I really feel the way the modular environment and the groovebox have been created together have amounted to something much bigger than all the original parts. Beepstreet and beta crew are some smart folks. Drambo = instant flow state for me, and has been a much needed distraction and inspiration for me over the past 9 months of pandemic-related anxiety. Huge thanks to everyone on this forum for a warm reception to my continued Youtube spamming, it means more than you know
Agreed.
Definitely.
Agreed.
I was hoping more dRambonauts were going to spam
this thread with their creations considering the coney memes.
Thanks for showing them how it's done.
Thank you for your kind words @bcrichards.
I'm wishing you all the best!
This is fuckin´great - on the Youtube this emiment Ben has put more than nine (9) hours of Drambo videos! RESPECT!!!
Thanks Ben!
Took a few synth designs out for a spin.
I also tried Mastering the track using the modules only in dRambo itself.
More to follow.
Hot track! 🌞
Love the composition! 👍
@rs2000 @0tolerance4silence
Thank you.
Wow! That rocks.
Epic... I get visions of "Weather Report". The drum are excellent on this one.
Yeah, great fusion vibes @Gravitas
Here's a track I did recently. All within Drambo, recorded out Master track with AudioLayer.
🙏🏽
"Weather Report", is good company.
Thank you.
Really cool sounds.
It's a nice piece.
Looking forward to hearing more.
"Faster than Light"
dRambo only.
One synth design.
Enjoy.
The synth used in,"Faster Than Light".
A work in progress.
Nice! Suggestion to easily make full screen shot like that?
Load in AUM and reduce window height until you see the whole enchilada.
Some screenshot utils also support 'endless screenshots' with auto stitching.
👍
Oh btw, Apple's free Keynote app is another handy utility for arranging multiple screenshots on a blank page 😊
Nice tracks guys! @auxmux @Gravitas
The synth design for ,"Faster Than Light", uses
1 Modal Resonator
2 FM op's
3 Wavetable Oscillators
for the resulting synth sounds.
As pairs
Modal Resonator + FM op
Wavetable Oscillator + FM op
Wavetable Oscillator + Wavetable Oscillator
The signal of each section then goes into an AD module per pair
which are then summed using a Mixer Module in the Master Mix section.
The exception to this happens in the first section
where the Modal Resonator + FM op pair
also passes through a Shaper module.
The Master Mix section is currently quite basic as it consists
of the Mixer Module, a compressor and a Hi-pass filter.
The next design will add or replace the AD envelopes with ADSR envelopes
which will enable more sustained sounds and pads.
I may put these envelopes in Layers modules so that they
can be switchable between the AD and ADSR envelopes.
I am also considering adding a noise module for
slightly more complex drum sounds.
Looks rad man. I wanna see a hardware version in the wall, with macros so synth moves like a conveyerbelt ( pointless I know )
Thanks man.
If this can be built in hardware then we may
actually get to see it move like a conveyor belt.
That would be quite something.
